Period of Appointment 12 months.

Hours per fortnight 73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.

Duties Provide high level solution leadership advice and direction to the RWVP-E Program, Governance Committees, and technical project team on all aspects of ICT architecture including strategy, policies, risk, standards, solution design, procurement, and review.
Lead the planning, definition, and high-level design of the solution and explore solution alternatives.
Contribute to successful project delivery across the RWVP-E Program by providing expert advice on solution modelling, applications, data security, IT and business risk as well as IT infrastructure.
Provide an expert advisory service to line managers in relation to ICT and systems management to contribute to the effective support of business processes and operational support services.
Identify client requirements, analyse alternatives, and conduct solution recommendations related to software, platform, and network configurations.
Ensure appropriate liaison, consultation, and influence with key stakeholders, including Output Managers, vendors, and other Departments regarding RWVP-E initiatives.
A Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.
Pre-employment Checks The Head of State Service has determined that the person nominated for this vacancy is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer.

Arson and fire setting Violent crimes and crimes against the person Sex-related offences Drug and alcohol related offences Crimes involving dishonesty Crimes involving deception Making false declarations Malicious damage and destruction to property Serious traffic offences Crimes against public order or relating to the Administration of Law and Justice Crimes against Executive or the Legislative Power Crimes involving Conspiracy Disciplinary action in previous employment.
Qualifications Tertiary/professional qualifications and experience in systems, technical or solution architecture.
A senior IT specialist, with a proven record, specifically solutions architecture in large private or government organisation.
