The Project Manager plays an important role in the delivery of the Tasmanian Government's support of the visitor economy. With broad direction from their Manager, the Project Manager will develop informed policy advice for Government on a range of subjects on an ongoing basis, hold responsibility for managing the effective and efficient delivery of a range of projects, and establish strong mutually beneficial working relationships with key identified internal and external stakeholders.

Period of Appointment Appointment to the role is on a fixed term flexible basis (up to 73.5 hours per fortnight) for 24 months.
Duties Actively develop a robust knowledge base of challenges and opportunities facing Tasmania's visitor economy. Use this knowledge to prepare accurate, solutions-focused advice for provision to Government and senior department representatives. Develop initiatives, policies and projects that strategically support Tasmania's visitor economy, including those identified in Tasmania's 2030 Visitor Economy Strategy , and ensure delivery is completed to a high standard. Prepare written documentation including correspondence, meeting papers, Ministerial briefings and reports to a high standard. Undertake presentations to internal and external stakeholders as required. Manage all elements of grant administration relating to funding (including development, delivery, tracking and reporting) to a high standard. Establish and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Develop and deliver a range of other duties as required.
