Provide an efficient and effective cleaning support service to the Operating Room Suite within established guidelines, policies, and procedures.
The Role: The successful applicants will be part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team focused on high standards of infection control within the Operating Room Suite.The role involves many and varied manual tasks over a large footprint of 9 Operating Theatres, Sterilising Department and associated areas.The multidisciplinary staffing cohort in the Operating Room Suite are guided by and practice the THS-N CARE values and the ORS GRIPS values to endorse a safe and harmonious workplace.Previous experience in hospital cleaning is advantageous, however the ability to perform the role to a high standard will be the key factor in selecting the preferred candidate.Note: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.
The Team: The dynamic ORS cleaning team are strongly led by a Team Leader who is committed to a high standard of Infection control, staff satisfaction and safety.
The Launceston General Hospital is Tasmania's second largest hospital with a busy elective and emergency service utilising 9 main Operating Theatres. The LGH works closely with the University of Tasmania and is a major clinical teaching and research centre. All our services work closely together to deliver excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, workforce and the Tasmanian community guided by our CARE values.
Details of appointment: Permanent part time, shift worker position, working up to 60 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed upon date.

Salary:$58,184 to $59,580 pro rata, per annum.Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
