Provide high level information technology and application management support in relation to information and communications technology within Pathology Services LGH and across other LGH Departments.
The Team: North Tasmanian Pathology Services (NTPS) provides Pathology services to Launceston General Hospital and the Northern regions of Tasmania.
We are the only public pathology service operating in North Tasmania.
NTPS aims to deliver a high-quality service to general practitioners, medical specialists, and private hospitals, providing patients with no out-of-pocket expenses for Medicare eligible tests.
The team at NTPS comprises a large team involving multidisciplinary scientists, technicians, and Pathologists.
Externally, we share a close working relationship with cross functional teams in LGH and wider Tasmanian Health Network.
The Role: Liaise closely with Health ICT and be responsible for supporting all clinical applications and equipment in use at Northern Tasmanian Pathology Service.
Provide support and end user training for the Laboratory Information System, Middleware applications and oversee Pathology IT department.
Assist end users using Pathology IT systems on help desk queries, system and architecture maintenance, strategic planning, configuration, testing, technology migration, implementation, integration, monitoring data quality, managing new software upgrades and releases.
You will need: At least 2-3 years' experience working with health care clinical application systems.
Good understanding of Pathology workflow processes will be an advantage.
Project management experience will be an advantage.

Details of appointment: Permanent, full time, day worker, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join the team.
*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $104,756 - $118,730 per annum (Pro rata).
Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022 .
