The Team: The Neonatal and Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (NPICU) in the new K Block campus of the RHH boasts a contemporary single room design across SCN, HDU, NICU & PICU.
The unit consists of 28 beds focused on providing families with a true Family Integrated Care Model of Care.

The Role: The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) is an experienced nurse who, within the defined area of practice: Works in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and other senior staff to ensure the efficient and effective provision of care based on best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework.
Assists the NUM with the planning and management of staff and resources and provides operational leadership through the coordination of the day-to-day patient care activities, including patient flow.
You will need: Demonstrated clinical experience in the relevant practice area, with the capacity to provide clinical leadership, exercise professional judgement and initiative, and work with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated ability to understand the business of the unit/service in delivering the best outcomes within available resources, including a demonstrated understanding of patient flow principles and discharge planning in the pursuit of patient/client goals within a contemporary healthcare framework.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to the evaluation, innovation, and development of services provided by the unit/service and the review of clinical practice policy, procedures, and protocols.

Details of appointment: Multiple permanent, full-time or part-time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time, part-time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 per annum (Pro rata).
Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023.
Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full-time for three years or more, on top of the relocation allowance already available.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.
Benefits available to eligible candidates: Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.
