Catherine McAuley Catholic College, Medowie is seeking a Permanent Part Time (12 hours per week) TAS Assistant to join the team January 2025.
Commencing in 2021 with Years 7 & 8, the newly established Catherine McAuley Catholic College is expected to grow annually to a Years 7-12 Learning Community in 2025. Job DescriptionThe position of TAS Assistant will be responsible for providing direct support and assistance to the Technology Teachers and contributing to the maintenance and development of a safe working TAS and Workshop environment. This position will form part of a team and work closely with, and take direction from, the TAS Leader of Learning and members of the School Leadership Team.

Desired Skills and ExperienceEXPERIENCE/CRITERIA Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic education and the mission of the Church through Catholic schoolsDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively and communicate with school staff, students and the communitySound understanding of, and commitment to WH&S standards and requirements including maintaining records such as Chemical Safety RecordsDemonstrated ability to maintain a safe working environmentDemonstrated experience in workshop maintenance in a school setting or equivalentDemonstrated capacity to maintain machinery and tools in the schools TAS WorkshopsDemonstrated capacity to undertake inventory management and ordering systems in a school setting or equivalentDemonstrated ability to plan and organise production sequences to ensure Workshop efficiencyQUALIFICATIONS Qualifications in building and/or carpentry or relevant experienceCurrent paid Working with Children Check (WWCC) numberWillingness to Comply with the CSO Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead Policy. Category A - Accreditation to WorkCONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Salary is in accordance with New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2023.
