Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Tank Reliability Engineer to join our Hydrocarbon Solutions team in Brisbane .
In this critical role, you will be responsible for delivering both online and offline tank inspections, ensuring the integrity and reliability of our hydrocarbon storage systems.
Responsibilities & Requirements Conduct comprehensive online and offline tank inspections to assess structural integrity and identify potential issues.
Develop and implement risk-based inspection programs for storage tanks.
Analyse inspection data and prepare detailed reports on tank conditions and recommended actions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop maintenance strategies and improve tank reliability.
Stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices in tank inspection and reliability engineering.
Provide technical expertise and support for tank-related projects and modifications.
Contribute to the development and improvement of inspection procedures and methodologies.
Participate in root cause analysis investigations for tank-related incidents.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards in all inspection activities.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in tank reliability engineering or a similar role within the hydrocarbon industry.
Experience with fluid transfer, valves & pipework, instrumentation, tanks and pumps.
API 653 experience and qualifications.
Understanding of key aspects of AS1940.
In-depth knowledge of tank inspection techniques, both online and offline.
Strong understanding of reliability engineering principles and risk-based inspection methodologies.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Willingness to travel to various site locations as needed.
Relevant certifications in tank inspection or reliability engineering (e.g., API 653) preferred.
Experience with hydrocarbon storage systems and handling.
Knowledge of tank integrity assessment techniques.
