ABOUT THE ROLE Fulltime (part time / flexible arrangements available for negotiation) Work with SA's most talented youth footballers A rewarding role working with a great team The primary focus of the role is to implement individualised programs and initiatives for players in the areas of wellbeing, personal development and off-field career pathway planning for male and female
players involved in the SANFL Talent pathway programs. The role exists to support players with their non-athletic endeavours and to provide support in managing the competing demands of football alongside various other pursuits including academia, culture, employment and personal development.
Key focus areas include:
Build and maintain relationships with State Talent Pathway players Understand the key influencers of the player's wellbeing Support SANFL Clubs in establishing best practice wellbeing support and programs Maximise capability of Smartabase for wellbeing reporting ABOUT YOU You will bring with you a range of strategies to communicate effectively with players, families and external stakeholders. You will possess a demonstrated understanding of adolescent athlete development and bring experience or demonstrated empathy for athlete / high performance, wellbeing frameworks, professional development in wellbeing, including a demonstrated strong understanding of case management, stakeholder relations and referral networks.
Your success in the role will be underpinned by the following:
Training or tertiary qualifications in Education, Psychology Health or related field (desirable) An approachable and accessible nature Ability to build relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders Flexible approach to work hours as there are evening and weekend contact hours Strong alignment to SANFL values and team work All SANFL team members are required to hold a current DHS Working with Children Check Mental Health First Aid Accreditation (desirable).
