About Us

Queensland Hydro is a publicly owned entity established by the Queensland Government to design, deliver, operate and maintain long duration pumped hydro energy storage assets that will be the cornerstone for the transformation of the state's energy system.

Together, we will drive delivery of world-class pumped hydro assets to provide the long-term storage and reliability needed to power Queensland's clean energy future. Queensland Hydro will play a critical role in assisting the Queensland Government to meet its renewable energy targets and net zero emissions by 2050, supporting the shift in the Australian economy to a decarbonised energy system.
The Purpose

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping Queensland Hydro's culture through sourcing and recruiting great talent to join our team. You will partner with hiring leaders to understand their resourcing plans and hiring needs and develop social and contemporary recruitment campaigns to attract and onboard team members who live and breathe our values.

In collaboration with workforce planning, you will develop an understanding of current and future talent needs and design and implement creative recruitment campaigns to attract and secure the rare and hard to find talent through partnering with agencies, proactive searches, market mapping and talent pooling.

Joining our team in this in-house recruitment opportunity allows you to perform meaningful work where your contribution is visible and will shape the future of clean energy in Queensland.
About You

You'll have a background in in-house &/or agency recruiting, ideally with experience in engineering, construction or consulting. This role will best suit someone who is comfortable in a fast-paced and changing environment, where adaptability and the ability to handle ambiguity are key. You are focused on delivering value & sourcing great talent, with high-quality customer service, solid influencing skills and demonstrate reliability and accountability. Your excellent communication skills and ability to establish strong relationships will be instrumental to succeeding in this role.
