Talent Acquisition Specialist

Details of the offer

As Tasmania's publicly owned training provider, TasTAFE is a vital contributor to the prosperity of the state's economy through supporting jobs and employment and the economic resilience of our businesses and industry. With a focus on practical, real-life learning, we work hard to ensure the training our learners receive is industry relevant and we provide real industry skills that are highly valued by employers.
TasTAFE aspires to be a place of innovation, creating new ways of training, finding solutions, delivering differently and increasing access for all.
The Role Talent Acquisition plays a vital role at TasTAFE and our team aims to consult deeply and add real value to the hiring experience for both candidates and hiring managers. Our small (but mighty) Talent Team is led by a passion to identify, attract and engage top talent as we source the very best for our learners, industry and community.
We embrace new ideas, creativity and consistently demonstrate a proactive approach to strategic sourcing – particularly around those hard-to-fill or niche roles that can challenge even the most seasoned recruiter.
Reporting to the Senior Talent Partner, this key role will oversee a portfolio of both teaching and non-teaching vacancies and be actively involved in the full end-to-end recruitment processes (this is so much more than a transactional role).
Our team is on a transformation journey, and our immediate goal is to provide a first-class service to our hiring managers. We pride ourselves on delivering top talent in an efficient manner (because we know top talent waits for no-one). We are motivated by our time to fill rates, finding the right candidate for the right role and the smiles on our hiring managers' faces when we close off their recruitments.
We are fostering a culture of success and high performance, in a friendly and fun environment – it's the perfect time to join our team and grow your career in TA!
What will you bring The term 'candidate care' should be forefront in your mind. You will be a strong advocate for ensuring your candidates are communicated with in a timely and respectful manner because you truly understand the value of maintaining positive relationships with top talent.
At TasTAFE, it is not unusual to find yourself spoilt by choice with hundreds of applications for our more popular administration vacancies (which is never a bad problem to have as a recruiter). On the flip side of this, in your tool kit, you will need to back your ability to head hunt and use proactive talent acquisition strategies as you search for candidates to fill our more niche teaching roles. You will leave no stone unturned as you search for the next plumbing, electrical or horticulture teacher who is going to impact the next generation of learners at TasTAFE.
In addition to an absolute passion for all things TALENT, our ideal candidate will be able to tick off the below dot points:
A minimum of two years of consistent end to end experience within a high-volume internal talent/recruitment team is ESSENTIAL Solid knowledge of current TA market insights, trends and technology High level of proficiency with applicant tracking systems The ability to drive 360-degree recruitment across a portfolio of teaching and non-teaching vacancies. A current Working with Vulnerable People registration, or the ability to obtain prior to commencement is essential. Supporting a Diverse Workforce At TasTAFE, we encourage applications from the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, people living with a disability, people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, mature age workers and members of the LGBTIQ+ community.
We are a diverse and inclusive workplace and understand the importance of flexibility. We want our workforce to reflect the diversity in our community and we are committed to building a culture we are all proud of.
Ask us how we can make this role flexible to suit you.
Join TasTAFE If you think this could be the opportunity for you, we encourage you to apply. To be eligible, you must have the right to work in Australia.
If you require any reasonable adjustments to the recruitment process, please let our recruitment team know during the course of selection.
Candidate screening and interviews will commence as applications are received.
***CV's from agencies will not be accepted*** TasTAFE prioritises Tasmania's Child and Youth Safe Standards and the Universal Principle for Aboriginal Cultural Safety in its recruitment process, ensuring the safety and cultural well-being of children, youth, and Aboriginal individuals.
