About Us We are one of the largest employers of Apprentices and Trainees in South Australia in the construction, renewable and defence industries. As a Group Training Organisation (GTO) we employee apprentices and trainees to achieve their qualification, whilst ensuring on-the-job training with our large network of Host Employers. Our Registered Training Organisation (RTO) delivers nationally accredited training packages, with a 92% apprentice completion rate.
The Opportunity Due to rapid growth within the organisation, PEER are now entering an exciting new opportunity in developing and growing employment pathways within key sectors including Defence. 
A skilled South Australian workforce is critical in meeting the current and future industry workforce requirements. PEER is extremely proud to be launching careers within this partnership between the South Australian and Australian Governments along with industry on this national endeavor.
The key responsibilities include: Lead the development and delivery of the talent acquisition strategy to attract and source roles across traineeships and apprenticeships in the construction and defence sectorsManage the end-to-end recruitment process including proactively sourcing candidates across a variety of channels, phone screens, interviews, assessment and selection of suitable candidatesBuild a talent pipeline to ensure timely hiring for future vacancies and other opportunities within the broader PEER business.Partner with our existing VETiS and Recruitment teams and work collaboratively across all schools in the promotion of apprenticeships and traineeships.  Promote the company's employer brand through engagement initiatives, career events, and social media activities to attract top talent and build the future talent pipeline.Maintain accurate recruitment data and generate reports on recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill, diversity targets, and candidate quality.Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and partner with industry to support the current and future skills needs for South Australia.About You You will be a motivated and energetic individual who is highly experienced in best practice talent acquisition practices to attract, source and develop a talent pipeline in the Defence sector to contribute to meeting future industry needs. Your skills and experience will include:
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (preferred but not essential).Proven experience in a talent acquisition role, with prior experience in the defence sector preferred. Experience working across various industries and understanding market trends is advantageous.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships Proficiency in candidate sourcing techniques, including social media recruiting and using ATS software.Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking communication skills.Knowledgeable in employment laws related to recruitment and selection.A proactive, results-oriented approach and commitment to delivering exceptional candidate experienceYou will also need: To be an Australian CitizenFederal Police checkWorking with Children checkBaseline Security ClearanceBenefits PEER has a culture that celebrates and enhances the employee experience including benefits such as:
