About the role TAFE SA is seeking a proactive and dynamic Sector Liaison Officer to join the Centre of Excellence in Early Childhood Education and Care within the Academic Development Division. This newly created position will play a pivotal role in fostering strong relationships with industry sectors and the Office for Early Childhood Development, contributing to the advancement of Early Childhood Education and Care training programs across Australia.
Key Responsibilities: Facilitate industry engagement initiatives, including training activities, networking events, and collaborative projects. Serve as the primary contact for stakeholders such as schools, government agencies, unions, and universities. Provide administrative and secretariat support for engagement activities and advisory groups. Conduct research to support industry engagement and diversity initiatives. Develop communication materials to promote engagement activities. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful delivery of key projects. Key Selection Criteria: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships. Highly organised, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively. Excellent attention to detail and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of local, state, and national funding frameworks, government policies, and relevant educational contexts. Commitment to workplace policies on health, safety, equity, and diversity. The successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed. Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS).
