About the role
Located at our Yallourn Campus, we have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Carpentry professional to join our Building Trades teaching team in a full-time capacity to deliver Certificate III in Carpentry to TAFE Gippsland students.
As a teacher, you will deliver high-quality training and assessment, create inventive learning resources and assessment materials, and undertake educational administration.
You will support and guide students and supply them with the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue a successful career in the building industry.
A six-month probationary period applies to the role.
About you
You possess the necessary industry experience and skills to effectively mentor and train students to the high standard required, in order for them to meet the demands of industry.
You are enthusiastic and motivated with a confident and proactive approach to education.
You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and enjoy working with others.
You have sound ICT skills, a knowledge of training packages and an understanding of compliance and quality requirements.
Passionate about sharing your knowledge and experience, you are dedicated to training, mentoring, and supporting students to reach their full potential.
Qualifications and experience
Appropriate Industry qualification Minimum 5 years' experience in Building and Trades Knowledge of and experience in the delivery of industry specific skills Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent is desirable), must be willing to obtain upon successful appointment First Aid Certificate (Level 2) Mandatory requirements
Current Victorian Working with Children Clearance Current Police Check (not older than 12 months old) Current Driver's License (some travel to other Campuses may be required) Benefits
