Your next opportunity We are actively seeking a proactive and solutions focused Tactical Buyer to join our Engineering Technology and Assets team.
Based at our Berrima Cement Works, you will provide expert purchasing support for raw materials and engineering & maintenance equipment/ parts.
In this fast paced and high volume environment, you will interact with operational stakeholders, our Procurement team and key vendors to deliver a sustainable, competitive advantage for our Boral Cement operations.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned Trades professional seeking a career change or a Graduate Mechanical Engineer.
Your ability to understand the technical needs of our sites and to think on your feet to achieve procurement outcomes will contribute to your success in this role.
Your day will involve: Partner with Boral Cement and suppliers to ensure goods and services are provided on time, at the right location at the best cost and value Source suppliers and/ or quotes for work Process purchase order requisitions and amendments Maintain open purchase orders and resolve invoicing issues Assist and support the purchasing function to ensure service agreement levels are maintained Actively contribute to the team's assigned targets around savings, value, risk management and governance Actively contribute to the ongoing effectiveness and efficiency of our purchasing activities What are we looking for?
Experienced Trade professionals or newly Graduated Mechanical Engineers are welcome to apply Proven ability to interpret technical specifications and work scopes Complex problem solving and analytical skills within a commercial environment Exceptional stakeholder management abilities, with the ability to negotiate and maintain service levels Demonstrated capability to manage high volumes within a demanding environment Good technological abilities – experience with Maximo and Oracle is advantageous What's on offer?
