Key Responsibilities
As the Tackling Indigenous Smoking Officer, you will lead initiatives aimed at reducing smoking levels and promoting cessation among community members. Your work will involve gathering evidence to understand local smoking behaviors, delivering brief interventions, running educational programs, and working closely with support groups to encourage smoking cessation. You'll be at the forefront of a critical health initiative, driving positive change and empowering individuals to make healthier choices.
Selection Criteria
Current Driver's License
Current CPR Certificate
COVID-19 Vaccinated (Triple-vax as per WA Government mandate for all health care workers)
Consent to undergo a Working with Children Check and a National Police Certificate (employment is conditional pending the outcome of these checks)
Must have full working rights for Australia (i.e. Permanent Resident or Citizen of Australia/New Zealand, or a current, valid visa with no restrictions).
