Role Summary The TAB Agent is responsible for the planning, coordinating and executing the daily operations of TAB products, promotions with coverage at over 2,000 race meetings and live sports events across the world each year.
As a commissioned agent in Northern Territory you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the TAB agency in Casuarina and be the frontline face of TAB to our retail customers.
Operating the agency as a sole trader or partnership, each commissioned agent is responsible for:
Staffing the agency
Selling bets, both retail & digitally
Acquiring new business
Following standard Tabcorp operating procedures
Ordering consumables
Regular training and adhering to state & national based regulations relating to the Wagering Act
We are looking for applicants with the following experience:
Strong customer service and customer interaction skills
Strong knowledge of Racing & Sport
Small business management
Staff rostering
Consumable management
A flair for executing in venue incentives
Responsible service of gambling
Comprehensive knowledge of digital wagering products.
The Venue is – Casuarina TAB, C/- Casuarina Club, 269 Trower Road, Casuarina, NT 0810.
Our Ideal Person To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to make quick decisions and think outside the box. This is a hands-on role that requires clear and direct leadership to successfully coordinate all core aspects of retail operations.
We are looking for someone who has experience in leading a team, including coaching, training and managing performance.? You will also have a good understanding of Work, Health and Safety requirements, as well as having First Aid Certification. Knowledge of the Racing Industry and the Wagering Act and experience with betting systems would be advantageous.
Key to your success in this role will be your excellent communication skills, strong customer and compliance focus, coupled with your advanced organisation and planning skills and ability to drive outcomes.
