Role Details:Plymouth, Royal Devonport DockyardHybrid, Fortnightly to monthly visits to the siteInside IR35Negotiable rate of pay12-month contractAbout the Role:The Energy Division at ARM is currently seeking a Systems & Transversal Engineer to join a Leading Nuclear Defence BusinessRole Purpose:Key responsibilities include:The technical management of the DSR Updates work package resources and delivery.The checking and review of all technical output from the DSR Updates work package.Identification of the extant DSRs that require updating in support of the safety claims made through the new safety assessment.Developing the methodology of updating the extant DSRs that are identified for updates.Updating (i.e., authoring and checking of) the extant DSRs.Input into the Facility Level Design Report as required by the 14 Dock Operations & Integration Manager.Provide subject matter expert advice related to their specialism.Ensure that the produced documentation covers the scope of operations required by the Safety Project Manager and Operations & Integration Manager, and is produced to agreed standards, schedule, and budget.Plan for effective project implementation, identifying key factors and leading the project's technical planning process.Ensuring effective Quality Management Arrangements, operation and delivery through compliance with the Business Management System and Technical Manual.Ensure that the processes and activities being managed are appropriately documented with appropriate records maintained and configuration and quality controls applied.What do you need to succeed?Understanding of the workings of Nuclear licenced sites.Understanding of multi-disciplinary engineering activities through design, implementation, and operation with a core focus on safety.Knowledge of Civil/Structural construction techniques employed for Nuclear safety-related facilities.Updating and authoring of technical documentation in support of the nuclear safety case(s).The post holder must be able to demonstrate relevant knowledge and skills required in the technical management of complex design development throughout the design life-cycle.Sound understanding of engineering design and safety practice as relevant to discipline, post, and project requirements.Sound project specification & planning experience.Sound understanding of Company and departmental procedures relating to Design, Health & Safety and Quality requirements, and ability to manage projects by these procedures.Working knowledge of relevant engineering office computer applications.Experience in the design support to construction, operation, and refit/repair of conventional and nuclear submarines and/or facilities.How to Apply:If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply via the link, or contact us on , and we will let you know if you have been shortlisted.Disclaimer:This vacancy is being advertised by either Advanced Resource Managers Limited, Advanced Resource Managers IT Limited or Advanced Resource Managers Engineering Limited ("ARM").
