As part of this increased customer-focused vision, NEP Australia is recruiting for a Sydney-based Systems Support Specialist.
The Role & ResponsibilitiesReporting to the IT Infrastructure Lead, the Systems Support Specialist is required to provide level 1 & 2 systems support as part of a global team with a follow-the-sun model in place.
This position is a 5-day work week, Monday to Friday with 1 day per week work from home.
Key Responsibilities:Serve as the initial point-of-contact for troubleshooting software, Laptop/PC hardware, printing, and phone problems in a multi-site Active Directory environment.Generate and manage service desk tickets for problems and work to resolve the issues in a timely manner.Provide phone and in-person support to users in the areas of email, Files/Folders, standard Windows and MAC desktop applications, and other in-house applications.Prepare new laptops and desktops for deployment to offices and mobile units in the field.Support users by installing, configuring, and deploying software packages on company hardware.Responsible for ongoing maintenance, management, and tracking of company-owned hardware and software.Provide 1st & 2nd level application support.Provide backup systems administration support for multi-server, multi-location IT infrastructure.Ensure information security is maintained to the highest standards.Skills RequiredTechnical or Bachelor's degree in IS, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience.2+ years of PC & application support experience.Experience with PC configuration/upgrades and repairs.Experience supporting Microsoft and MAC operating systems and applications.Experience with supporting Microsoft Office suite of applications.Knowledge of troubleshooting network issues (LAN/WAN).Understanding of IP Phones and video conferencing.Knowledge of PowerShell scripting is highly desirable.Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and have a positive 'can do' attitude.Benefits of working at NEPSalary continuance insurance.NEP Days – additional 5 days of leave per year (conditions apply).NEP Travel benefits & discounts including Qantas Club Membership.Discounts through NEP Rewards.Employee Assistance Programme.Work from home options (our head office location is Eveleigh).On-site parking available on request at our Eveleigh office location.If you feel you have the right match skills for this position, please apply here!
