Systems Specialist - Infrastructure

KOTZUR GROUP is a market leading engineering/fabrication business with 200 employees across our Walla Walla NSW and Toowoomba Qld sites. Servicing all of Australia, we specialise in providing silo storage and materials handling solutions for the agricultural, industrial and commercial sectors.
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Systems Specialist to join our Information Technology team. The Systems Specialist – Infrastructure will play a critical role in managing, maintaining, and optimising our on-premise and infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in server and network maintenance, security systems, and industrial networking. This role will ensure the robustness, reliability, and security of our on-premise IT infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include: Manage and maintain on-premise servers, including Hyper-V, Azure Stack HCI, and Azure Virtual Desktop.Monitor and optimise server performance, applying patches and updates as needed.Implement and manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans.Oversee the maintenance and optimisation of network infrastructure, including HP Enterprise switches and routers, and Sophos firewalls.Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues, implementing enhancements as required.Manage and maintain access control systems, ensuring secure access to facilities and IT resources.Oversee installation, maintenance, and optimisation of CCTV systems.Implement and monitor security protocols across infrastructure components.Manage and maintain industrial networks, ensuring connectivity and security across operational environments.Collaborate with operational teams to ensure network infrastructure supports manufacturing and production processes.Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments, implementing corrective actions as necessary.Oversee the installation and maintenance of physical hardware, including servers, storage devices, and network equipment.Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure configurations, network maps, and security protocols.Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.Work closely with the Systems Specialist – Modern Workplace to ensure seamless integration of cloud and on-premise systems.Provide tier-3 support for infrastructure-related issues, escalating as necessary.Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in infrastructure management.Participate in capacity planning and scaling efforts to support organisational growth.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.Proven experience in server and network administration, with a focus on Hyper-V, Azure Stack HCI, and enterprise network infrastructure.Strong understanding of industrial networking and security principles.Experience with access control and CCTV systems is highly desirable.Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Cisco Certified Network Associate) are advantageous.Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.Why work for Kotzur?
