HEW 6 ($90,280 - $97,724) + 17% Superannuation Based at the Melbourne QV Office and Hybrid ways of working About the Opportunity We are seeking a dedicated Systems Officer to play a crucial role in the Student Financials team, supporting business process operations.
In this role, you will collaborate with the Senior Coordinator, HESA Processes and Systems to manage both cyclical and ad-hoc system processes, and maintain system configurations to support essential HESA and VSL activities.
As a Systems Officer, you will provide expert systems, process, and data analysis and advice to the Senior Coordinator, Fee Configuration, and the Coordinator, Student Financials.
Your insights will help identify system issues and drive improvements in team operations.
You will also work closely with key staff in Enrolment and Student Records and ITS to ensure the completion of critical annual configurations, supporting student enrolments for the new academic year.
Additionally, you will assist the Manager, Student Financials by providing essential data and analysis to inform system development and reporting.
During peak periods, business process operational work is necessary to support the team and ensure exceptional service delivery.
Please note, there may be occasions where working outside of normal hours or on weekends is required to accommodate certain processes or workloads.
To be successful in this position, you'll have: Demonstrated knowledge of the relationship between system set up, functionality and the associated administrative processes and practices.
Demonstrated experience to understand system linkage and process improvement.
Demonstrated ability to undertake system analysis and troubleshoot issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document and present complex information, issues, solutions, and processes to a wide ranging internal audience.
Demonstrated system knowledge with extensive experience in the use of databases and reporting tools with the ability to analyse data requirements.
Ability to prioritise work and to manage conflicting deadlines without compromising quality.
Commitment to working as part of a team, including the ability to assist or guide others in areas of expertise.
Demonstrated customer service focus and demonstrated history of taking initiative.
Ability to work productively within an environment that is subject to process and system changes with changing operational priorities.
