Saab Australia has been chosen as the sovereign provider of combat management systems to the Royal Australian Navy. As such, we are responsible for the industrial development and sustainment of Australia's combat management system capability for the Royal Australian Navy into the future.
The OpportunityOur Systems Engineers specialise in the design, architecture, security and cyber requirements of complex naval systems. They ensure system characteristics and performance are compliant with the overarching requirement set throughout the product life-cycle. They provide expertise across multiple naval platforms and systems domains including combat, communication, platform, control and autonomy. As a Systems Engineer, you will contribute to enhancing the effectiveness of naval combat systems, ensuring they operate with precision and reliability in defence operations.

What you need to succeed:We welcome candidates with skills and experience in the Systems Engineering V-Model, including but not limited to:
Between 3 - 6 years post-graduate experience, with tertiary qualifications in either Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Robotics or Software EngineeringStrong stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to work across multi-partnered programsAbility to work autonomously, with a drive for continuous learningExperience across the full systems engineering lifecycleExperience with requirements reviews, design reviews, and/or test and acceptance events with customersAustralian Citizenship, with the ability to obtain and retain an NV1/ NV2 clearanceExperience in maritime or defence domains is highly desirablePositions are based in Mawson Lakes (Adelaide - SA); candidates based interstate will need to be willing to relocate.Culture and benefitsWe employ over 1000 Australians and are committed to fostering a culture of excellence and enriching the employee experience.
