The opportunity Mott MacDonald is looking for talented people from a variety of backgrounds to apply for a role as a Systems Integration and Testing Engineer to be a part of our growing Australian Systems Engineering and Integration team.
The role is diverse, and your key responsibility will vary project to project, but you can expect to be performing project-specific Systems Integration duties across a range of clients, which may include:
Applying technical expertise in delivery of systems engineering and integration capabilities on complex rail projects.Applying rail operational and rail maintenance expertise in mitigating safety and operational issues.Developing plans, programs of work and support delivery of operational testing (Trial Operations) activities.Developing operational readiness and rehearsal plans, processes and criteria.Developing operational and technical systems integration strategies, plans and roadmaps.Deriving technical requirements, application conditions and task definitions from operational and maintenance concepts.Developing test plans, test cases, procedures, schedules, and resources for a variety of test campaigns from lab tests, on-site technical testing and operational trials.Linking of test cases / evidence to source requirements and risks as well as visualising and reporting on this traceability coverage.Definition, facilitation and evaluation of Test Readiness Reviews.Using IBM test tools in the delivery of T&C artefacts and activities.About you A bachelor's degree with experience in the delivery of large, complex projects, specifically in the right-side of the V.Demonstrable experience of holistic integration of complex systems from low-level unit and subsystem up to end-to-end and operational integration.Ability to take a high-level view of project testing and commissioning strategy, testing priority and sequence, verification of requirements, and personnel and equipment requirements.Keen understanding of Systems Engineering concepts, including how broader functions like operations, systems assurance, safety, V&V works with integration, testing and commissioning.Ability to use and drive IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management is highly desirable.Knowledge of CBTC and/or ETCS operation is desirable.Self-motivated and self-managing, requiring minimal supervision.Excellent written and oral communication skills, with proven ability to communicate progress and issues accurately at all levels of the Consultant, Contractor and Client organisation.Whilst not mandatory, it is desired that you have experience in the delivery, integration and testing of rail systems, and in-depth knowledge of technologies such as CBTC and ETCS.Our values, culture, and benefits We are committed to fostering a culture that empowers our people, promotes teamwork and embraces sustainability.
