Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state's emergency services agencies.
It provides Victoria's 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.
This integration of emergency services communications within TZV is unique in Australia and rare worldwide.

About the RoleWorking together with the Director, Technical Delivery, this role is focused on delivery on the transformation project for TZV's Computer Aided Dispatch technology.
As an experienced leader in system engineering, this role is expected to leverage TZV's Project Management Framework to achieve project and program objectives.
Focusing predominantly on this project, the main purpose of the role is to deliver the engineering solution for the TZV transformation program with respect to architecture, design, specifications, interfaces, and integration capabilities for the broader CAD project (NGC) and the Emergency Services Integration Program (ESIP).
Day to day responsibilities include:
Lead multi-disciplinary teams comprising subject matter experts from security, infrastructure and networking domains, with a clear focus on positive staff wellbeing, continued skill development, and shared organisational learningDeliver the system engineering for the infrastructure, network engineering, security engineering, and the identity management capabilities.
Ensuring the systems requirements, designs, and specifications meet the reliability, availability, and maintainability of the organisationEnsure the project delivery of the Network Redesign, Identify Management, Active Directory Uplift, and Cloud On-Ramp projects that support the Next Generation CAD ProjectLead and direct any vendors to ensure they are designing and building to the appropriate standards suitable for the highly resilient and highly reliable infrastructure, networking, and security services.Identify, track and manage the interdependencies of the networking, infrastructure and security initiatives and contribute to ensuring alignment with other key technology deliverables and business change and training activities. About YouYou will exemplify strong people leadership skills, demonstrable current experience in leading a high performing team, coupled with formal qualifications in Information Technology, Infrastructure or Networking, with substantial experience in systems engineering.
Further technical qualifications in Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate or Azure (Associate or Engineer level certification) and CISCO Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or other CISCO qualifications, are also required.
In addition to this experience and qualifications, you will further demonstrate the following:
Experience in Systems Engineering principles and lifecycle management, and Systems Engineering and integration in complex program environmentsDeep understanding and application of system reliability, availability and maintainability principles in all requirements, specification, and design processes and documentationExperience in delivering integrated systems within a complex program environmentStrong skills in documenting solutions, and systems requirements.
Skilled in SAD, HLD and LLD creation and documentation of future networks and infrastructureIt is essential that you have demonstrated experience working with the following applications/systems - Microsoft Server (2016-2022 including Active Directory), VMWare vSphere (V7/V8), Infrastructure as Code in a cloud environment, Infrastructure monitoring systems such as Splunk or Dynatrace, SAN Storage (Veeam Pure Storage), Dell Servers, Veeam Backup and PowerShell.
