About the Role:
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will lead the development, integration, and sustainment of complex maritime systems across diverse projects.
This senior role demands a strategic thinker and experienced systems engineering professional who can lead multidisciplinary teams, guide technical direction, and influence outcomes in high-stakes environments.
Key Responsibilities: Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentoring to teams, ensuring systems engineering excellence and adherence to project milestones.System Architecture and Design: Define, develop, and oversee system architectures, ensuring alignment with program goals and operational requirements.Requirements Management: Lead end-to-end requirements processes, including elicitation, analysis, validation, and verification, using advanced tools and methodologies.Integration and Testing: Oversee and manage system integration, validation, and verification activities, ensuring seamless operation of maritime systems.Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary technical interface with stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and subcontractors.Risk Management: Lead risk assessment and mitigation strategies to ensure robust engineering solutions.Capability Management: Drive engineering contributions across the system lifecycle, including upgrades, sustainment, and obsolescence management.Skills and Experience: A degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.A minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering roles, ideally within the maritime, Defence, or aerospace sectors.Expertise in Systems Engineering frameworks such as MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering), V-model, or equivalent methodologies.Proficiency in tools like DOORS, Cameo Systems Modeler, or equivalent.Technical knowledge of maritime systems, including (but not limited to) navigation, propulsion, radar, or sonar systems.Proven leadership skills, including mentoring teams, managing technical risk, and delivering results under tight deadlines.Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.Minimum NV1 AGSVA clearance (NV2 preferred).Why Consider These Opportunities?
