They are a leading player in the global space industry, providing multi-user launch services. Their ambitious goal is to launch rockets weekly, offering commercial launch services to the growing New Space market. They have already collaborated with NASA and are now entering an exciting new phase of expansion.The RoleAs a Systems Engineer, you will support the Head of Engineering in designing, integrating, and managing mission-critical infrastructure for successful space launches. You'll oversee the system lifecycle from design through testing, ensuring all components work seamlessly together to meet operational objectives. Your responsibilities include collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, managing engineering change processes, and contributing to continuous improvement in their systems engineering practices.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with engineers to develop critical infrastructure for spaceport operations.Manage engineering documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations.Lead engineering change control processes.Engage with system vendors and clients to assess and implement system changes.Foster a culture of systems thinking and continuous improvement.About YouHonours degree in Engineering or Science, with post-graduate training in Systems Engineering.5+ years' experience in Space, Complex Manufacturing or Defence Systems Engineering.Proficiency in model-based Systems Engineering tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink).Strong communication and technical writing skills.INCOSE membership is desirable.Due to the nature of the work, candidates will need to be Australian Citizens and eligible for a Defence clearance.If you're passionate about space and looking for an exciting opportunity to shape the future of the industry, we want to hear from you!
