Systems Engineer

Our client, a wholly owned Australian company, is looking to engage a permanent Systems Administrator/ Engineer to join their team and be responsible for supporting all aspects of the IT systems and services.

-          2-3 days in the office (CBD)  -          Travel to sites, both within Vic and occasionally, interstate -          Permanent role | $130-140,000 plus super The role requires someone who has worked in an autonomous role previously & can demonstrate a high level of soft skills combined with technical ability.
You will be supporting operations as well as the architecture team to build out new systems.
You will be joining a team of 5 System Admins who each manage individual sites including data centres as well as Wintel & O365 systems.
Responsibilities include: Provide infrastructure support, liaising with business units to address their IT needs and ensuring compliance with SLA objectives.
Develop, maintain, support, and optimize key technologies encompassing network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, telecommunications systems, and data centre provisioning.
Administer, maintain, and resolve a range of O365 deployments/configurations/escalations.
Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
Monitor system performance, promptly resolving any issues that arise.
Foster strong working relationships with key suppliers, conducting all dealings in a professional and appropriate manner.
Assume responsibility for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, virtualization, and cloud environments.
Perform or delegate regular backup operations, implementing robust data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
