A major financial services company based in Sydney is seeking a Systems Engineer - Entra ID 365 Engineer with expert PowerShell experience.
This is an initial 6-month contract highly likely to extend.
You will be part of a large-scale Active Directory (AD) transformation programme.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks, monitor system health, and enhance system performance.
Remediate performance issues across Entra ID 365, AD, and related services in a complex, fast-paced environment.
Monitor Active Directory and related services using System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), ensuring proactive identification of potential issues.
Manage and optimise Active Directory infrastructure, including Group Policy Objects (GPOs), user/group management, and domain controllers.
Maintain and improve the security posture of the AD environment by implementing best practices for authentication, access controls, and auditing.
Ensure continuous improvement by recommending performance optimisations and automating repetitive tasks.
Required Skills & Experience: Entra ID 365 & Active Directory: Deep experience in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Entra ID 365 (Azure AD) and on-premises Active Directory.
Expert PowerShell scripting experience for automation, troubleshooting, and system optimisation.
SCOM Monitoring: Expertise in using System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) for monitoring Active Directory, Entra ID 365, and related services.
Active Directory running in virtualised environments (VMware) and cloud-based infrastructure (AWS) - desirable.
Security Best Practices: Knowledge of AD security best practices, including user authentication, identity management, and access controls.
