What You'll Do: As a Systems Backup Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our client's data assets by implementing and maintaining robust backup and restore strategies. Here's what your responsibilities will entail:

Design and implement tailored backup and restore strategies to ensure data protection and recoveryConfigure and maintain backup software components for optimal performanceMonitor backup jobs, promptly resolving issues to maintain data consistencyExecute regular backups according to defined schedules and compliance requirementsConduct routine tests and audits to verify data integrity and recoverabilityCollaborate with IT teams to integrate backup solutions seamlessly and provide technical support for inquiries or incidents.


Requirements

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

Proven experience as a Backup Administrator or similar role, demonstrating proficiency in backup and restore strategiesIn-depth knowledge of backup software solutions and technologies, such as Veritas NetBackup, Veeam, or CommvaultFamiliarity with storage systems, data replication, and disaster recovery principlesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot backup-related issues effectivelyExcellent communication and collaboration abilities, enabling effective interaction with cross-functional teamsA proactive mindset with a keen attention to detail, ensuring the reliability and integrity of backup systemsRelevant certifications (e.g., Certified Backup and Recovery Engineer) would be advantageous
