As a Systems Administrator, you will: Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, and software including software updates, security patches, and general configuration maintenance.Provide specialist technical services to identify and resolve incidents and problems across a broad range of services, provide request fulfilment, and deliver operational, tactical, and strategic digital projects, ensuring alignment with team and project objectives.Collaborate with senior team members to plan, design, and execute the migration of on-premises systems to cloud platforms; primarily Azure, with AWS and GCP where relevant.Coordinate, implement and support delivery of cloud-based solutions, ensuring they meet Deakin's requirements for scalability, reliability, and security.Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures related to both on-premises and cloud-based environments.To be successful, you'll have: Extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields; orAn equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training in Computer Science or a related discipline.Experience administering Linux and Windows servers.Experience of working with Cloud services such as Azure, AWS or GCP.Experience administering servers, storage, and networking hardware.Experience with scripting and automation tools.Experience with containerisation technologies.Experience troubleshooting complex systems.Here's how to apply: Only people with the right to work in Australia may apply for this position.
