About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Design Technologies Team Lead, based in Osborne SA, your System Administration experience will enable you to support a range of server, database, and desktop applications across multiple networks.
This role is undertaken in a dynamic and complex environment where customer service is paramount and your ability to work independently and collaborate with other teams to deliver successful outcomes is essential.
Responsibilities

Support the operation and security of servers and networks.
Support commercial database servers.
Support commercial engineering and design applications.
Support in-house developed applications.
Collaborate with the corporate IT team to achieve assigned objectives.
Continuously improve system administration and application support processes and procedures.
Support licensing systems for applications across several networks.
Provide all levels of user support.
Maintain relationships with and coordinate support from external application/service providers.

About you

Proven ability to administer/support hardware, software, and computer networks.
Microsoft technologies including Windows Desktop and Server, Active Directory.
Database technologies including Oracle, Microsoft SQL, or similar.
Proficient in PowerShell and SQL scripting.
Familiar with DNS, DHCP, File Shares, Group Policy, Application Deployment, Networking, Firewalls, Application Control.
Excellent problem solving and time management skills, with the ability to take ownership of and manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communications skills with the ability to work autonomously and within a team.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to engage effectively with a wide variety of team members throughout the organisation.
Experience with VMware technologies including vCenter, Horizon, Dynamic Environment Manager, and App Volumes is highly regarded.
Experience with Linux will be highly regarded.
Familiar with ISM and System Hardening is desirable.
Familiarity with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and/or PDM (Product Data Management) methods and tools is desirable.
Interest or experience in engineering and design applications, 3D modelling, 2D drafting, analysis, simulation is desirable.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology.
Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.
