Systems Administrator

Melbourne based (Hybrid) - 12 months contract with extensions likely - Must have NV1 Security Clearance! Work as System Administrator with a leading Consulting firm on one of their Melbourne based projects.
Responsibilities and Skills required: Administer and support Windows Server environments, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of services and applications.Design, implement, and manage Azure cloud solutions, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems (e.g., RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS).Create and manage user accounts and permissions, ensuring appropriate access controls are in place.Optimize system performance by tuning kernel parameters, managing resources, and troubleshooting bottlenecks.Administer and support VMware Cloud Foundation environments, including deployment and management of virtual machines and storage.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtualization and cloud infrastructure.Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure seamless service delivery and support.Develop and maintain scripts (e.g., Bash, Python) to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.Utilize configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet) for system provisioning and management.
