NHMRC is seeking a Systems Administrator for its Grant Systems Section. The successful candidate will be tasked with managing the vendor-driven grant management platform. The role involves configuring the system, overseeing the vendor's tasks, and working with cross-functional teams to ensure effective operation of its grants management system, Sapphire, along with its integrated suite of Microsoft365 tools.
Grant Systems is a small team responsible for the management and administration of NHMRC's grants management and grants reporting environment through both in-house staff and outsourced arrangements. Its broader responsibilities include:

contract and service delivery management
project management and solution implementation
system support
system configuration and administration
cloud-based grants reporting environment

Under limited direction, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

Stakeholder Communication
Configuration
Quality Assurance
Documentation

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to dissect complex business processes and systems
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
Solid understanding of system administration and business analysis methodologies, tools, and best practices
Proficiency in translating business requirements into technical specifications and vice versa
Project management skills to effectively handle multiple tasks and priorities within established timelines
Technical aptitude to understand software systems, databases, and integration concepts
Detail-oriented mindset to ensure accuracy in documentation and solution design
Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment and quickly grasp new concepts and technologies.
