Aboriginal applicants will be granted priority consideration for this vacancy.Primary Objective:The Systems Administrator provides high-level corporate system technical and subject matter expertise in the delivery of support, incident and problem resolution, training, and systems initiatives across a range of enterprise corporate systems.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Investigate and resolve escalated issues in a timely manner while capturing and communicating resolution information.Undertake system administration related management, monitoring and maintenance activity relevant to enterprise corporate systems.Assist with identifying and documenting robust system audit procedures to ensure system integrity is maintained.Assist in the review and development of appropriate advice, policies, and procedures relevant to enterprise corporate systems.Actively participate as a full member of the business area contributing innovative ideas and solutions and working in accordance with direction from management in line with established policies and procedures.Selection Criteria:Essential:Well-developed technical expertise across a range of technologies and experience in providing client application support and administration.Proven analytical ability including issue investigation, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and identifying solutions that meet client needs while adhering to policy or legislation.Sound knowledge of common service management tools, methodologies, frameworks, and systems and how they apply to application management.Well-developed communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders in the delivery of outcomes.Strong organisation skills with the ability to prioritise workload and implement operational project tasks and bodies of work.Demonstrated work ethic and attitude, which emulates DCDD values of being professional, accountable, honest and innovative.Desirable:Experience supporting software, applications, or information systems used for HR, Finance, Asset, Fleet, Procurement, Grants, Contract Management, or Service and Identity Management business functions.Relevant certifications in ITIL or other IT Service Management certifications.Further information: The recommended applicant will be required to undergo a criminal history check prior to selection being confirmed.
