Full timeOur Federal Government client is seeking a System Engineer to implement and support Microsoft Server solutions and designs.This is a contract role that will run for 12 months with 2x12 months extension options based in Canberra ACT.Key duties and responsibilitiesIt is expected that successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:Undertake technical deliverables as a recognised senior specialist.Implement and support Microsoft Server solutions and designs.Implement and support virtualised server environments across a global network.Provide end to end technical solutions.Assist with system changes, updates, upgrades and relocations.Compile technical documentation.Participate in skills transfer and mentoring of staff.Strong coordination and organisational skills with a high attention to detail.High level communications skills.Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to work in team environment.Ability to analyse and resolve complex enterprise system hardware and software problems.Interface with peer teams and vendors to coordinate solutions.Technical skillsHigh level of knowledge and experience with Microsoft 2016 and 2022.High level of knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows Powershell Scripting.High level of knowledge and experience with VMware virtualisation technologies.Essential criteriaDemonstrated knowledge and experience with Microsoft Server versions up to and including Server 2022 in an enterprise environment.Virtualisation technologies including VMware technologies, design, build, operating and troubleshooting.Windows Powershell Scripting.Active minimum NV1 clearance with ability to obtain an NV2 clearance if considered necessary.Desirable criteriaKnowledge and experience with Nutanix virtual technologies.Experience working in teams to produce quality outcomes.The ability to translate technical information to those with a non-technical background.Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens who have the ability to obtain an AGSVA NV1 Clearance.Apply now for immediate consideration – contact Ernest Yray on quoting Job Reference: # 264710.Please note: Only candidates that meet the above criteria will be contacted.
