Job Description: Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated System Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Brisbane, Australia.
Key Responsibilities:Diagnose and troubleshoot complex signalling issues efficiently, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to ensure system functionality and safety.Ensuring compliance with safety and engineering design standards.Producing technical documents such as Design, Assurance and Safety reports.Producing detailed design and calculations reports regarding low voltage power distribution systems.Create and develop strong working relationships to facilitate knowledge & best practice.Producing and managing BOM, direct contact with suppliers as required.Support Construction and T&C activities on site.Analyse and report technical non-conformities.Skills & Experience:Electrical, Computer Engineering or Information Technology Qualifications/University Degree or equivalent technical background.3 to 5 years of experience in Transportation/Signalling System Engineering.Knowledge of rail signalling standards and regulations.Knowledge of electrical design and applicable regulations such as AS3000, AS3008.Expert knowledge of Windows applications such as Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint.Strong knowledge of MicroStation.At Hitachi Rail, we know that a diverse business is a sustainable business.
