Your responsibilities will include: About the program: AIR6500 Futures project will provide a deployable ground-based, medium-range, air-defence (GBMRAD) capability designed to deter, deny and/or defeat air and missile threats to the Joint Force and valuable assets.
Air6500 Futures is an extension of the Joint Air Battle Management System that will include additional Air Battle Management, Air and Missile Defence, and Electromagnetic Battle Management capabilities.
The system will be able to operate independently or as a component of the Joint Integrated Air and Missile Defence (JIAMD) capability.
About the role: As the System Architect, you will support the Technical Lead in developing the design solution as per the specifications while ensuring that the appropriate design aspects are captured and the system is decomposed to an appropriate level of detail.
Leading the development of key technical documents and artefacts Resolving decisions regarding system architecture and design tools Providing relevant technical and domain knowledge through mentoring of the broader technical team Engaging subsystem leads to ensure architectural principles and consistencies are maintained Providing an expert level of advice and guidance to a large range of stakeholders About you: To be successful in this role, you will have:
Significant industry experience in technical leadership and development of engineering acquisition solutions Extensive experience across the systems engineering lifecycle on complex Military Systems having challenging constraints Extensive working knowledge or demonstrable understanding of Systems Architecture, System Design and System Development Understanding of Model Based Systems Development (MBSD) and Model Based Engineering (MBE) principles Experience with DoDAF, SysML, MagicDraw, Rhapsody or similar will be an advantage Significant knowledge and experience with Agile Systems development Active Australian NV-1 security clearance and ability to access/handle Export Controlled technology, data and information Special Requirements: Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
