The System Analyst is required to undertake the following duties and responsibilities:
Work within Agile methodologies to deliver projects iteratively and incrementally.Partner with Product Owners, business SMEs and technical teams to gather, analyse, and document Case Management digital and technical requirements.Elicit complex Case Management business requirements with key stakeholders to ensure that business owners and project team members have a shared understanding of scope and actual needs.Contribute to the breakdown of complex Case Management business problems into clear and concise epics, features and user stories with meaningful acceptance criteria and other supporting artefacts.Participate in collaboration with the Product Owners in the entire project lifecycle, from design and development to testing and implementation to prioritise and shape the product backlog using best practices for prioritisation.Contribute to the identification of project risks, issues and dependencies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet stakeholder expectations.Bridge the communication gap between business and technical languages, fostering clear communication across all parties.Identify, recommend, and implement improvements and efficiencies across key business systems by analysing the current state and determining the optimal future state, contributing to the development of business knowledge, process maps, systems interfaces, business scenarios and use cases.Support the documentation of the operational state of solution delivery.Have a deep understanding of systems and data as well as business processes and functions.Produce technical documentation of systems and deliverables such as API specifications, data flow diagrams, data mapping documents, functional requirements and system diagrams.The System Analyst will require the following skills and experience:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a digital environment, preferably within government (federal).Ability to improve business processes and take ownership of delivering key outcomes in projects.Experience in gathering and analysing business requirements, translating them into technical specifications.Have a deep understanding of systems and data as well as business processes and functions.Experience in translating business problems into customer solutions.Experience working with large-scale agile framework teams.Ability to analyse complex business processes, translate requirements into technical specifications, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Ability to work under limited direction, demonstrating strong planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools and Atlassian products such as Confluence and JIRA.Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Visio.Qualifications in a relevant field (e.g., Bachelors of Information Technology, or related).Kirra Services acknowledges all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we work and live.
