System Analyst

12 + 24 month contract - Vulnerability Management NV1 clearance required - Flexible working arrangements Tuggeranong, ACT or QLD or SA or VIC Our client, a large Federal Government department based in Tuggeranong, ACT, requires an experienced System Analyst for a long 12 + 24 contract.

Duties Compile and present vulnerability management system requirements. Establish the strategic direction for vulnerability management. Identify and monitor system risks, develop mitigation strategies and escalate issues. Drive application innovation and development efforts by maintaining an understanding of the competitive landscape. Develop staff capability through coaching, mentoring and succession planning to increase performance, engagement and retention. Prepare and review a range of written material including technical and corporate documentation. Encourage innovation, continuous improvement and manage and support change exercise delegation in accordance with legislation and guidelines. Selection Criteria Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience in system requirements preparation for ICT projects within Federal Government. Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience in system analysis and design. Experience in system analysis within large scale ICT projects for Federal Government with specific focus on vulnerability management projects. Experience in vulnerability management systems and providing recommendations on principles and practices to implement to improve cyber maturity with particular respect to Essential 8 strategies. Strong understanding of industry standards including ISM, Essential 8, PSPF and NIST to assist system analyst work.
