This person will protect our critical systems and assets, build solutions, implement new software and hardware, provide training, and assist in developing the overall IT strategy.

Objectives of this role Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardwareTake responsibility for projects and solutions within the larger business initiativeHandle business-critical IT tasks and systems that provide commercial advantage in the global marketplaceEnable faster and smarter business processes, and develop analytics for meaningful insightsWork with internal and external partners to communicate project status, activities, and achievementsReturn value to internal stakeholdersResponsibilities Work closely with COO for identification, scope and completion of I.T. projectsPerform business administration tasks (ex: user/group, security permissions, group policies, etc)Assist in completion and compliance with PCI/SOC2 policiesmonitor resources to ensure that systems architecture components work together seamlesslyMonitor operational platforms for daily performance and undertake analytical assessment to suggest improvements, then complete improvements once approvedMonitor data-centre health using existing management tools, and respond to issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers when neededMaintain internal infrastructure requirements, including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, IOT solutions, phones, security updates.Assist the help desk and other teams with troubleshooting to identify root cause, and provide technical support when neededPerform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backupsRequired skills and qualifications Proven success in an IT roleExperiencing in balancing competing tasks and performing to time linesExperience with or knowledge of programming languages and operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, systems performance-monitoring tools, active directories, virtualization, HTTP traffic, content delivery, and cachingExperience in project management, application design and integration, and cloud computing (specifically AWS)Experience with a variety of off the shelf products (Office 365 suite, sharepoint, Monday platforms, Manage Engine Service Desk Plus, AWS)Preferred skills and qualifications Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in information technology or computer scienceProfessional certification
