Home to the Space Surveillance Telescope (SST), the C-Band Radar and Very Low Frequency (VLF) radio transmission capability, together these systems add a critical contribution to Australia's space domain awareness and battlespace awareness missions.

To support our mission, Raytheon Australia is currently seeking a motivated individual who is ready to work with a diverse, talented, and enthusiastic team on-site in Exmouth WA.
Reporting to the Mission System Supervisor, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance and administration of IT servers, virtualisation and storage Infrastructure and their supporting sub systems across Production, Test and Development environments for both Classified and Unclassified networks.
Key Responsibilities: Provides the technical operations for defence mission system complex IT server and communication solutions that comply with Raytheon Australia and Defence technical standards and security policiesManages system accounts, permissions and directory operations and ensures service delivery staff have the necessary up-to-date information for account administration activitiesProvides the technical input into the development and maintenance of Disaster Recovery Plans & Business Continuity Plans for server and communication infrastructureMonitors system performanceManages software installation, configuration and updates for operating systems, firmware, and software applications including security updates as directed by configuration management authorityPerforms system and network configuration maintenanceManages backup and recovery protocolsInstalls and manages firewall and intrusion-detection monitoring systemsManages backup system to safeguard critical data collectionPerforms advanced troubleshooting and network problem resolution in coordination with maintainersCoordinates with and provides support for depot-level maintenance actions.Skills, Experience and Qualifications: Demonstrated experience in a Systems Administration 2nd / 3rd Level support role (UNIX, Linux and Microsoft)Preferably hold a number of relevant industry qualifications such as:DoD approved 8570 IAT Level II Baseline CertificationsMicrosoft Certified System Associate (MSCA)Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA)Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA)Security (CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CCNA Security)Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Engineering discipline is desirableExperience managing Directory Service such as Microsoft Active Directory.Candidates must be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
