Job Description About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Administrator to join our client's dynamic team based in Perth, WA.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in Microsoft 365, Azure, and PowerShell, with additional expertise in 3CX, Unify, VOIP, Fortigate, and networking.
In this role, your daily duties will include: System Monitoring & Maintenance: Regularly monitor system performance, security logs, and backup systems to ensure smooth operation.
User Account Management: Create, manage, and troubleshoot user accounts and permissions in various systems, including Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
Patch Management: Apply patches and updates to servers, network devices, and software to maintain system security and stability.
Incident Response: Respond promptly to IT-related incidents, diagnose problems, and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
Data Backup & Recovery: Oversee the backup process, ensuring that data is regularly and securely backed up and can be restored efficiently.
Hardware & Software Management: Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software, including servers, workstations, and network devices.
Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members to plan, execute, and document projects, including system upgrades and migrations.
Key Responsibilities: Microsoft 365 & Azure Administration: Manage and maintain cloud services, ensuring optimal performance and security.
PowerShell Scripting: Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and task management.
VOIP Management: Oversee and support VOIP systems, particularly with 3CX and Unify.
Network Management: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including Fortigate firewalls and related technologies.
System Security: Implement and monitor security measures across systems and networks.
Technical Support: Provide second and third-level support for system and network-related issues.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive system and network documentation.
Key Requirements: Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
Strong experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
Hands-on experience with 3CX, Unify, and VOIP systems.
Solid knowledge of networking concepts, particularly with Fortigate.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Desirable Qualifications: Relevant IT certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Fortinet NSE, etc.)
Experience in a similar role within the IT or MSP environment.
