Sydney: Assistant Case Manager

Details of the offer

StateCover's purpose is to keep people safe, well and working. We are the Mutual insurer of choice for NSW councils, founded 22 years ago by Members, for Members. We provide 132 local government entities with worker's compensation insurance solutions, safety and wellbeing services and are trusted as their workforce risk and wellbeing experts for their 38,000 workers.
The Opportunity
This role will see you responsible for supporting our Case Managers, by providing general administration and customer service support across the claims we receive. This involves arranging medical examinations, reconciling Member payments and wage reimbursements, following up outstanding reports and accounts, and assisting in the preparation of claim reviews and case conferences.
At times you may also be required to provide direct assistance to our Members and other stakeholders, presenting yourself in a personal, empathetic, and efficient manner.
Your Story
You may have had previous experience working in a similar role within an insurance environment. Most importantly, you value providing first class customer service to all stakeholders you engage with and know the importance of timely and professional delivery of service. You're highly organised and can effectively prioritise your time and work to meet deadlines.
You'll have had previous experience working with Microsoft applications, notably Word and Excel. You also enjoy working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Why us?
We seek to provide our people a career, not just a job. When you join us, you'll have access to training and development opportunities, a wide range of benefits, reward and recognition programs, social club plus a competitive salary package. Our office in Sydney is just across the road from major public transport links and we also offer hybrid working arrangements, career progression and a chance to work with an inclusive, supportive team where you are set up to succeed.
Sounds interesting?
Get in touch today. We do require our employees to have permanent work rights in Australia and we will, of course, treat your application with the strictest confidence. We are proud to be an inclusive and diverse workplace and welcome applications from all who feel they meet the criteria outlined.
Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Background screening including references, qualifications and police checks will be required.
If you need assistance or accommodations to enable fair participation in our recruitment process, please contact for a private discussion.
