Specialising in Transmission, Distribution, Substation, Communications & Renewable Energy; as a subsidiary of the GenusPlus Group (ASX: GNP).The RoleThe Switching Operator's purpose is to perform Switching Operations on the Western Power Network.You will be working as part of a team across Western Power Network facilitating pole changes, maintenance and reconductoring, with a mixture of Metro work and regional sites on 10 days on, 4 days off roster.
The Western Power Network spans from Kalbarri in the North, Kalgoorlie to the East, Albany to the South and out to Ravensthorpe.Required for works on the Western Power network for Distribution Switching Services included but not limited to;Low Voltage Distribution Switching (LOU) High Voltage Distribution Switching (HOU)
ENAR writing (ENAR) Scoping of Network and writing LV Switching Program
Essential Requirements/Skills/Qualifications Certificate III ESI Distribution Overhead, or Certificate III ESI Transmission Overhead or Electrical Workers License EW (WA).
Authorised to switch on the Western Power Network.
Distribution ENAR, LOU and HOU qualifications or Transmission TL, TS and ZS.
Demonstrated good safety record and knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety.
Valid Driver's Licence – "C" Class.
CPR Certificate and Senior First Aid Certificate.
OH&S Construction Safety Induction White Card.
Willingness and ability to travel to other depots or worksites to complete project work as required
Desirable SkillsMinimum of 2 years of experience on the Western Power electrical distribution or transmission systems, with a focus on switching operations
