Part 1 - Head of ANZ Client Services Job Description
Reporting to the Director, Head of International, the incumbent should have expertise in engaging with global and regional financial institutions, consulting firms, and/or large corporations. In-depth knowledge of the Australian market is essential. These responsibilities are in addition to the global head of SR duties.
What You'll Do:
Plan and execute strategies to deliver ambitious growth as part of the regional and global team
Oversee the Client Service team in Sydney
Build out the Client Service team, ensuring the identification of the right leader for succession or hiring a new leader as necessary
Lead client advocacy and work with the local team
Drive close cooperation between offices, sharing best practices throughout the organisation
Act as the point of contact for ANZ business escalations
Assist in hiring Business Development members
Part 2 - SVP, Global Head of Strategic Research Job Description
What You'll Do:
Managing Quality and Production
Manage P&L of global Strategic Research department & LATAM business
Oversee the production of professionals serving under his/her and his/her direct Team Lead/VP reports for Strategic Research globally
Forecast headcount planning and budget for the department
Develop business strategy for salary, cost alternatives, services, and location of operation
Meet regularly in individual meetings with Strategic Research Team Leads /VP to review accounts, oversee progress toward monthly, quarterly and annual goals, problem-solve about project and client issues, oversee career development of Strategic Research team members
Primary point of contact for all escalations revolving Strategic Research
Discover new avenues of services supporting global operations
Collaborate with product development team to enhance operation productivity
Compliance
Be well versed at all times in Guidepoint's compliance policies, the custom compliance protocols of all clients serviced by the overseen teams and compliance CRM functionality
Spot-check compliance adherence
Work with Team Leads/VP to investigate and remediate compliance breaches
Serve as the point of contact between the Compliance Department and his/her Strategic Research team
Provide support to the Compliance Department with respect to establishing best practices, reinforcing Guidepoint and client compliance policies and procedures and addressing any breaches of such policies and procedures
Ensure that members of the Strategic Research team are held accountable for compliance breaches and address recurring issues
Set the tone from the top that Compliance is a key element of the service that we provide and an essential part of the service team's job
Training & Mentoring
Work in collaboration with HR and other VPs in designing and implementing training programs for Project Managers, Research Managers and Associates to teach best research, communications, service and compliance practices
Continually train staff on new research resources and technology
Coach and mentor Team Leads/VP to handle employee escalations and troubles surrounding performance
Provide guidance around decision-making for Team Lead/VPs
Research Development
Act as point-person for firmwide research initiatives, coordinating with managers in international offices
Help to identify and evaluate new research resources and coordinate review and onboarding of such services.
Supervise and encourage utilization of research resources
Staffing, Hiring and Supervising
Work with HR/TA Manager to interview and hire new Associates, Managers, and leadership for the Team
Review promotions of existing research professionals suggested from VP/Team leads
Conduct disciplinary procedures as necessary, including Performance Improvement plans and dismissal
Conduct semi-annual performance reviews of Team Leads/VP and collaborate with them on their semi-annual performance reviews of Project Managers and Research Associates
Raise with HR promptly any employee issues or complaints and act quickly to address such issues consistent with company policy and/or direct instructions from HR
Sales and Relationship Management
Work with VP of Business Development to manage trials
Work with VP of Business Development on account reviews
Work with VP of Business Development on account renewals
Oversee execution of account strategies by Strategic Research teams
Raise service issues to the Director of Business Development promptly and collaborate on remedial actions
Manage overall clients servicing within group, maintain positive relationships and encourage client reach out initiatives
Attend client meetings (both current clients and prospects)
Firm Management Responsibilities
Act as a representative of the company and leader in managing implementation of company policies, decisions and values
Inform and support Executive management in information gathering and decision-making.
What You Have:
University degree from a recognised institution
12+ years of relevant work experience, ideally within the information service, or other similar sectors
Excellent communicator capable of handling high-profile clients with a demonstrated ability to establish effective relationships with stakeholders
Ability to thrive within a fast-paced environment, entrepreneurial mindset, and an unwavering desire to succeed
Demonstrated ability to work independently and within teams
Ability to work with executives across Asia and globally
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
