Sustainable Transport Planner

Aspect Personnel are working with a council South East of Melbourne to recruit a Transport Planner for an 8 month contract role.
You will be responsible for the development of the active transport and public transport components of council's Integrated Transport Strategy.
Hybrid working arrangement available (2 days office based / 3 days WFH) You will be responsible for: Developing sustainable transport strategies policies (Active Transport, PT, Cycling, walking) Liaison with residents, state government, internal and external stakeholders Data analysis and updating/mapping routes vis GIS Conducting environmental impact assessments  As the ideal candidate you will have/be: A Transport Engineer/Planner, ideally with experience within a Government work environment Ability to develop solutions to transportation network issues Previous experience developing active transport strategies Demonstrated experience investigating and developing traffic, PT and active transport strategies A solid understanding of local government principles and practices A current drivers license If you would like to discuss this role in more detail or other opportunities within Local Government, please contact  Michael Parker  on  0431 593 048 or send an email to  ****** Alternatively you can apply by using the link below.
