Salary: $78,000 - $85,000 + 11% Super (1.0 FTE)
Term and Hours: Full time or Part-time (0.8 FTE), initial 18 month term

Overview
As a Sustainable Healthcare Officer, you'll be excited to support our work in the niche space of climate justice and healthcare.
Working closely with the Sustainable Healthcare Manager, you'll work on CAHA's core strategy of "Supporting the health sector to cut emissions and build climate health resilience and reduce its ecological footprint".
In this role, you'll use your knowledge and experience to assist the health sector to cut emissions and build climate resilience.

your role
The Sustainable Healthcare Officer is a key member of the CAHA team.
This role involves assisting in the coordination of the Global Green and Healthy Hospitals network in the Pacific region, delivering the CARE program (Community of Action for the Reduction of Emissions), specific sustainable healthcare projects, communities of practice, shaping our annual Greening the Healthcare Sector Forum, and supporting the healthcare sector in Australia and New Zealand to implement sustainable, low-carbon and climate resilient healthcare.
Selection criteria
Essential knowledge, skills and experience:

Excellent project management skills
Leadership: has the ability to lead work collaboratively and take responsibility for own area of work
Adaptability: has the flexibility and agility to work in a changing environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Initiative: takes the initiative and can identify opportunities to advance opportunities in their area of work while being aware of the overall organisational goals
Self-management: has the ability to manage work autonomously while working collaboratively on shared goals within a small busy team.
Has a strong level of self-awareness and insight
Collaboration: works well with others, responding to their needs and adapting ways of working and communicating to achieve the best result for everyone
Communication skills: Demonstrated ability to communicate proficiently orally, and in writing, demonstrated ability to engage and liaise with a wide range of stakeholders
Strong digital literacy and proficiency across a number of platforms such as: Microsoft Google, Monday.com, Zoom, slack etc.
Desirable knowledge, skills and experience:

Direct experience working in the healthcare and/or leading sustainability initiatives in healthcare
Degree or postgraduate qualifications in health and/or sustainability
Sound knowledge of environmental determinants of health
Familiarity with relevant reports, literature and frameworks related to sustainable and climate resilient healthcare
Demonstrated interest in, and commitment to, action for a sustainable and climate resilient healthcare sector
