The Kimberley Ports Authority (KPA) is based in the town of Broome, Western Australia. The Authority operates the Port of Broome and has the regulatory responsibility for the ports of Derby, Yampi Sound and Wyndham, also in the Kimberley region. KPA employs more than 80 staff delivering a diverse range of operational and administrative services.
The Role: We have an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability and Training Officer to join the KPA team. Reporting to the GM Sustainability, this position provides effective and efficient administrative services for the full range of the sustainability function at KPA. This includes general support to health & safety, environment and human resources functions, including records management and administrative services. In addition, the role is responsible for administration and coordination of KPA training requirements. This is a permanent role based in Broome – not FIFO.
In this role your responsibilities will be diverse and will include, but are not limited to:
Provision of general admin support services to KPA Sustainability team;Assist with the coordination and administration of training for the wider KPA team;Provide admin support to the Health & Safety, HR and Environment functions;Assist with the coordination of events and projects;Maintain and administer the Learning Management System (LMS);Monitoring and supporting compliance with VOCs and SOPs;Record keeping requirements in accordance with the State Records Act 2000.About You: You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values. In addition, you will demonstrate:
Experience in providing administration support services to Managers including document management;Demonstrated experience in administration and coordination of training (Cert IV TAE highly regarded);Strong analytical skills;Ability to work autonomously;Strong interpersonal and communication skills;High Level skills in MS Office suite;Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Legislation and current safe work practices highly regarded;Previous experience and a passion for WHS/Environment and or HR highly regarded.The Benefits: If successful, you will be rewarded with a range of benefits including:
