Environment & Sustainability Consulting (Consulting & Strategy) Full time General Purpose:
The Sustainability Project Manager will be supporting the delivery of EarthCheck's advisory work.
The Sustainability Project Manager will work with the advisory team under the GM consulting to deliver sustainable destination advisory and destination management services, support tourism industry operators in their understanding of sustainable management practices and engage key stakeholders in understanding and participating in relevant projects and programs.

Based out the thriving South Bank precinct in Brisbane, this role is available for an individual seeking to apply sustainability knowledge to tourism and destination management.
The candidate should have a sound knowledge of key topics such as climate change, and biodiversity as well as human and social capital.
A background in sustainability, policy, tourism or related field, and a passion to deliver excellence will make a candidate successful in this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Support the EarthCheck consulting team in delivery of destination management and sustainable advisory services.Co-ordinate the team in delivery of core outcomes.Collate and develop documentation as required for projects.Support tourism businesses to understand the importance of embedding sustainability principles and priorities in their organisation.Identify data relevant to the key performance indicators of sustainability for the destination and track progress on an ongoing basis.Form strategic partnerships with industry partners.Drive sustainability-related initiatives relevant to projects.Essential Qualifications and Experience
We are seeking candidates with:
Experience in sustainability, tourism, or other relevant roles.Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Studies, tourism or related field.Leadership skills - collaborative, positive, honest, authentic, and passionate.Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.Demonstrated ability to manage projects, budgets and meet project timelines.Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Exposure to general environmental management activities and an understanding of the structure and characteristics of the tourism industry.
