About the Role An exciting new position has become available for a practical, motivated self-starter, passionate about sustainability and action on climate change. 
We are seeking a dynamic and engaging Sustainability Manager to join our team based in Somersby on the Central Coast, NSW. The ideal candidate will be passionate about sustainability and possess the expertise to drive our initiatives forward. This role is pivotal in advancing our sustainability goals, promoting sustainable practices, and fostering a culture of environmental responsibility within the organisation.
Reporting to the Head of Energy and Sustainability, you will be responsible for:
Leading the development and execution of the Group's sustainability strategies and initiatives that align with our corporate objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainable practices into product development, supply chain management, and operations. Lead sustainability reporting efforts, including the preparation of sustainability reports and communication with stakeholders, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Engage with external partners, industry groups, and regulatory bodies to stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in sustainability. Provide thought leadership on emerging sustainability themes and develop policy responses, action plans, and disclosures in collaboration with the business.  Drive the development of innovative solutions to minimise the environmental footprint of our products and operations. About you  To be successful in this role you will have:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Commerce, Law, or other relevant degrees. 5+ years of professional experience in sustainability or ESG in a business or consulting environment, e.g. sustainability consulting, in-house sustainability manager, etc.  Strong knowledge of global sustainability practices and expert in governance for climate performance and reporting.  Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and inspiring stakeholders to drive change. Proficiency in project management, analytical thinking and collaboration.  Passion for sustainability and a deep commitment to making a positive impact on the environment.
