We are currently seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our MPI team on an initial 2-year fixed term basis. This is an opportunity to use your railway or skillset in supply chain and procurement to coordinate goods and/or services for the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project and develop, communicate and implement new business improvement and sustainable opportunities.
About the role: Procurement of goods and services of significant value in line with the legislation and policy required to achieve commercial and sustainable outcomes.Manage day-to-day procurement process activities, including maintaining business records to facilitate the procurement of goods and services.Negotiate prices, contract terms and conditions, and KPIs for major goods and services with suppliers to ensure best value is achieved.Provide a warehouse and logistics co-ordination role across QR warehouses and their logistics solutions.Develop and sustain productive relationships with portfolio customers and external suppliers to understand and plan for needs and anticipate future requirements.Develop and implement procurement plans (short and long-term) to ensure the ongoing supply of materials for the project.Provide feedback to project managers about customer and supplier issues with a focus on resolution and improvement.Recommend, develop and implement operational and warehouse logistical supply chain improvements - implement lean policies and processes within the warehousing environment.What we are looking for: High level of skill in procurement of goods and services providing commercial, sustainable and customer-focused outcomes.High level of commercial and business skills relevant to operational dispatching and receiving activities for warehousing businesses.High level of interpersonal, communication relationship building and influencing skills.Substantial knowledge of supply chain logistics operations systems and practices.Substantial level of skill in negotiating, preparing and administering commercially sound and innovative contracts.To read the position description click HERE Sounds great, what's next?
